As we reported earlier today, the bods over at RuneScape have announced that 4 updates to the game will be made each month. In their Behind the Scenes article for January the following upcoming changes have been announced for this month:

• Introduction of the summing familiar as voted for by the players in the summer. This will be in the form of a phoenix and requires you to undertake a quest where you learn how to handle the beast.

• Next installment of the Achievement Diaries (set in the Seers’ Village).

• Players ability to re-order your own spell lists. This will be incorporated via a series of buttons in the 3 spellbooks.

• Increased length of the auto-logout timer from 90 seconds to around 5 minutes.

• Inclusion of a “you are here” icon on the world map
