This news pains me ever so slightly, as I actually enjoy playing the bug-ridden Age of Conan. It has been hard to separate the truth from the spin in the ongoing Age of Conan saga, but we’re seeing more and more evidence that neither players nor stockholders are satisfied with Funcom’s campaign of bullshit and bollocks.

After repeated misleading press releases, Funcom still has no answers for people wondering where all the players are going. Perhaps it’s time to close my AoC portion of the Lexion Guild. Populations are falling, forum activity is at an all time low and the general community seem content just to let it happen. This, being an AoC player myself, have witnessed first hand. Aside from this, there’s still be no word to the fanbase.
This negligent treatment of customers has investors fleeing in droves, dropping the share price of FUNCOM.OL down by 60% since Age of Conan’s launch.
The Official Age of Conan Forums have become even more of a joke lately, as moderators aggressively lock and delete threads that mention anything negative about the game. Serious gameplay bugs, technical problems, questions about future content, and billing questions are all hidden away in an attempt to preserve the illusion of customer satisfaction. If you want to keep on the forums, don’t even mention things around the topics of: female swing speed discrepancy, account billing beyond cancellation, server consolidations or any questions about new content.
Right now I sit here wondering whether or not I should cancel my own subscription because of this.
